The Director of the Training and workshops Center , Prof. Wissam Hamid Alawi, participated in the PhD student discussion committee (Hadi Obaid Marri) in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, his thesis title (controlling of transient flow using different type of air vessels and relive valves for long pumping lines). It is noteworthy that the student obtained a doctorate degree with distinction in the field of mechanical engineering.
The President of the University, Dr. Amin Duai Thamer visited the center to view the
technical preparations for the second semester. The tour included all the people of
the center and commended the efforts exerted by the staff of the center in providing
the training process with modern curricula on both practical and theoretical aspects.
A ceremony was held at Al-Kindi Hall in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering to honor the employees of the university who contributed to the recruitment project through the establishment of free courses for graduate students. The training and laboratories center supervises a high level delegation from the Ministry of Defense headed by the Director of Training in the Ministry and a large number of training officers in the different types of the Iraqi army. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the possibilities available at the center, which opens prospects for future cooperation in the fields of training and manufacturing for various requirements of the Ministry.
