Within the framework of the twinning note between the University of Technology and the University of Worth the prophets, the training center and workshops received a group of professors and students of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Worth the Prophets and the Al -Safwa National University within a scientific visit to our center and they were received by the Director of Training and a group of professors, engineers and technicians of our center. The students were briefed on all the workshops of the center, as an introductory summary was given about the whole machinery and equipment of our center.
On the sidelines of the visit of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the American University to the University of Technology, An official delegation from the American University of Baghdad, headed by Prof. Dr. Donald Blumi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, visited the training and workshop center on Sunday, 3/2/2025.The delegation was briefed on the center's workshops, the available capabilities and the technological and industrial services it provides to the public and private sector. Prof. Dr. Donald Bloumi expressed his great admiration for the center's workshop. This visit comes within the university's technological efforts to enhance cooperation with local and international universities, and exchange experiences in the fields of scientific research and technological development, in order to achieve the aspirations of students and faculty members towards excellence and innovation.
Under the patronage of the respectable president of the technology university, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al -Ghabban The training and workshop center in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit organized a workshop entitled (The most important laws that were granted to protect women and children in Iraqi law) by the teacher, Nour Saad Al -Mawla, the teaching at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, the Iraqi University on Wednesday 8/1/2025.The most important axes dealt with by the workshop are the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the CEDAO agreement that prevented all forms of racial discrimination against women and children and the position of the constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005. It was approved according to Articles (29, 30, 37, 49, 49) human rights, including women and children's rights.Also the most important Iraqi laws concerned with women and children, such as the Personal Status Law No. (188) of 1959. At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Samira Saadi Shajar, head of the training department at the center, awarded a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in appreciation of her efforts in holding this workshop.
The training center and workshops at the University of Technology organized a workshop entitled (The Risks of Drugs and its Impact on Humans and Society: Towards Building a Conscious and Healthy Generation) and the lectures were given by Colonel (Raed Houkan Mazhar) on Tuesday 11/2/2025 on the auto hall in our center. The workshop included defining the types of drugs and their impact on society in general and the human being in particular and the factors leading to their use by young people and the psychological, social and health effects of them. The workshop aims to answer the following questions:
What types of drugs? What are the factors leading to their use by young people?
- What are the psychological, social and health effects caused by drug use and addiction on young people?
- What are the characteristics of the drug that the drug leaves on the behavior and behavior of the addicted youth?
Workshop recommendations:
- Attention to educating students and training them in the means of preventing drugs and the possibility of participating in drug -anti -drug campaigns through relevant NGOs.
- The necessity of coordinating universities with the clergy to hold targeted seminars on addiction and the dangers of this on the individual and society and encourage them to include their sermons and religious lessons on the role of reason, spirit and soul in forming an anti -drug trend.
- The necessity of adopting scientific psychological methods aimed at alleviating the suffering and assistance of young people.
- The necessity of participating in universities in encouraging students within technical and social activities by producing plays concerned with raising awareness of the dangers of drugs while studying their role in preventing addiction and carrying out awareness campaigns and educating in all student gatherings.
