The Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim visited training and workshops center, to inspect the progress of the training process in the center after the recent ministerial instructions to adopt blended education for students of the first stage of the scientific and engineering departments of the university and students of specialization for advanced stages, and he was received by the Director of the Center Prof. Dr. Wissam Hamid Aliwi, and the administrative assistant to the president of the university, during his tour, briefed on all aspects of training in the center and met with a number of trainee students inside the educational workshops of the center and listened to their suggestions and observations regarding the blended learning process, which represents the training and workshops center of the greatest weight in the University of Technology, and mentions That this inspection visit witnessed special coverage by the university satellite channel and the central media of the University of Technology. At the end of the visit, the Administrative Assistant to the President of the University praised the great efforts made by the center's employees, including teachers, engineers and technicians, and the high level of organization of students inside the workshops, which he clearly touched during the visit.  

The Women Empowerment Unit at the University of Technology, in cooperation and coordination with the management of the Training and workshops center , held a workshop entitled “Cleaning Engineers on the Margin of Society”, where Dr. Soheir Mohamed Zaki, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and an activist in the field of women’s rights, presented the workshop to raise awareness of cleaners, in addition to general advice about women and their role in society. Zina Al-Sabbagh, responsible for the Women Empowerment Unit at the university and the center, stressed the important role that female cleaners represent in our daily lives, as they are the main reflective axis of the organizing public view of the university. The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdel Dahoud, and the Director of the Training and workshops Center, Prof. Wissam Hamid Aliwi, presented the workshops  in which the Vice President of the University gave a speech in which he thanked the Women Empowerment Unit for this wonderful gesture to the cleaning engineers and praised the great cooperation provided by the management of the Training and workshops Center  are constantly working on the success and implementation of such wonderful initiatives at the university .

A cooperation workshop was held at the Training and workshops Center , in cooperation with the Red Crescent Organization, for a number of the center’s affiliates to learn about safety procedures, safety precautions, and the necessary primary and basic measures needed to prevent corona disease. The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Wissam Hamid Aliwi, director of the training and workshops center, Dr. Ahmed Hekmat, director of workshops , Dr. Samira Saadi, director of the training department at the center, and a number of teachers and affiliates of the center. The workshop delivered by Mr. Faisal Ghazi Hussein included a number of important procedures and recommendations for the prevention of infection
